Starting May 1, 2024, Cancer Patients from the Pacific Islands residing at Medivisor House for more than three months will enjoy a full waiver of accommodation expenses beyond the initial three-month period. They will only incur a nominal charge of 5 USD per day if they opt for Air Conditioning, along with an additional 5 USD per day for maintenance and operational costs. For the first three months of their stay, patients will be responsible for only 50% of the accommodation fees, amounting to 15 USD per day for Non-AC rooms and 20 USD per day for AC rooms. This arrangement resembles staying in one's own home while attending solely to essential operational costs.

Chemotherapy, in particular, may make patients more prone to infection, emphasizing the importance of consuming properly cooked home food. Outside food may be contaminated, leading to infection and complications.

These arrangements can help save Cancer Patients a significant amount, with savings totalling up to 6000 USD over a six-month period. This money can then be redirected towards their treatment, addressing a critical need. Notably, more than 70% of patients do not complete their treatment due to financial constraints.
